Become a Team Manager

The success of our club is solely based on our amazing volunteers. Each team and program at DVC require a team manager to help with communication with parents, scheduling, and general administration for the teams to operate.

These are the steps to becoming a team manager prior to interacting with our athletes.

Step One:

As a Team Manager, we require that you have a Child Abuse Register check, as well as a RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check. These need to be renewed every 3 years.

  1. The Child Abuse Register Check and VSC process info and form can be accessed here: http://www.backcheck.net/volleyballnovascotia/index.htm.

  2. Once your CAR & VSC has been completed and returned to you, please share this information on your account with DVC HQ and Volleyball Nova Scotia.

  3. Email your receipt to dvclubfinance@gmail.com for reimbursement. (cheque will be mailed to your address provided).

Step Two:

New this season with Volleyball Nova Scotia, you will need to complete the Coaches Association of Canada (CAC) Safe Sport Training:

  • Online course around Safe Sport for athletes, coaches, referees, and anyone involved in sport.

  • Free to take, 45 minutes to complete prior to your first interaction with our athletes.

  • Access the course at: https://safesport.coach.ca
